Handrail Sections or Continuous Rail Sections (Standard on all ramps over 10’)
Handrails can be configured as “continuous” or as “sections”
Continuous handrails are designed for more stationary set-ups, where the handrail will cover the full length of the ramp. There will be no breaks between the upright tubes. This option may require two people for set up.
The Section option (also called non-continuous) is designed for portability when the user wants the option to quickly set up and take down the ramp. The sections typically come in 6′, 5′, and 4′ lengths, and there will be a 4″ gap between handrail sections on the ramp. These shorter handrail sections can remain assembled when taking down the ramp and putting into storage or transporting.
Sections
- Multiple shorter rail sections along the ramp, provide easier portability, setup, and removal of the system.
- Handrail sections are quickly removed as one piece without disassembling tube connectors.
Continuous
- Continuous handrails span the full length of ramp from top to bottom as one continuous length.
- Best for stationary or permanent installations.
Additionally, there are two options for the ends of your handrails, Straight End (also called square end) or Loop End. You may also select to have a loop on just one end of the ramp.
Straight-end handrails are more economical, and provide additional security to any ramp.
Steel Brackets (included)
- Steel bracket provides a solid and durable connection for handrail to ramp
- Easily installed using one bolt and one nut.
- Brackets may remain on ramp for ease of rail insertion or removed with the rail in place.
